and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, in pursuance of Article XXIII of the Royal Instructions to the Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, bearing date the 19th day of January, 1888, do hereby certify that adequate and timely notification of the Private Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance enacted by the Legislative Council of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, for the Incorporation of the Trustees of the Hongkong and South China Benevolence" hereunto annexed was made of the parties' intention to apply for the same before such Ordinance was brought into the Legislative Council, and I do hereby declare that such notification was made by public advertisement in the Government Gazette of the 25th March and 1st April, 1893 respectively.
